FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Autumn 2012 “Stories Worth Telling” memoir writing workshops provide instruction, writing exercises, and publishing tips

Bozeman, MT – Writers of all levels will receive the inspiration, structural recommendations, and feedback they need to write their personal stories at a workshop series called Stories Worth Telling: Memoir Writing as a Gift to Loved Ones.  At each half-day session, professional ghostwriter and coauthor Anika Hanisch will help students explore memoir writing through informative lessons, in-class exercises, and take-home tasks.

The October 14 session is very beginner friendly, covering the differences between memoir and autobiography and using writing and outlining techniques to get our projects started.  On October 28 we dive into some of the unique challenges of memoir including writing about difficult experiences and the pros and cons of self-censorship.  Participants may attend individual sessions or reserve spots at both for a reduced rate.  No experience necessary for these two beginner sessions!  On Sunday, November 4 a special session for intermediate and advanced writers will provide personalized instruction and review of work-in-progress.

Advanced registrations due October 10; after the 10h call 406.581.9405 for availability.

Beginners: Sunday, October 14 & 28 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
