Thunderhead Writers’ Collective held an Incus Night poetry reading before the Billy Collins event in Big Sky this weekend. Collins is provocative and incredibly funny. For all my local friends, if you didn’t make it, track down one of his collections at Country Bookshelf. At the very least, enjoy this 4 minute TED Talk by Collins commenting on our sentimentality toward dogs. You’ll get an idea of his incredible range.
(Big Sky, MT) Thunderhead Writers’ Collective is sponsoring an Incus Night poetry reading prior to the Billy Collins event this coming Saturday in Big Sky. Anika Hanisch’s poem “Great Divide Basin” was one of 15 selections accepted for the reading, which begins at 5:30pm at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center. Incus Nights are open to the public.
Details about the Incus reading are at Thunderhead Writers’ Collective.
The Billy Collins reading will begin at 7:30pm. Details and tickets are at the Warren Miller.
These are separate events–you do not need a ticket to the Billy Collins event to attend the Incus Night. However, the Collins reading is selling out fast; reserve tickets soon if you want to attend both.
